A Better Earth surveyor will visit your home, measure the roof, photograph the electrical panel, verify orientation and shading, and confirm the system design fits the geometry. The visit takes about 90 minutes. You don't need to do anything beforehand — just be home during the window. From PTO forward, you'll have the Tesla app on your phone. It shows what your system produces in real time, your Powerwall's state of charge, when the battery is discharging, and your home backup status during outages — production and storage in one place. Your PPA is your warranty. For 25 years, every part of the system — panels, inverter, Tesla Powerwall, workmanship, production — is covered. If something fails, Better Earth replaces it. If the system underproduces, the agreement makes it right. You pay only for the energy your system produces, never for repairs, equipment, or service calls. Design & Permitting

Our engineering team produces the final drawings. We submit permits to the City of Cerritos and interconnection paperwork to SCE on your behalf. You don't need to do anything during this stage — we handle the entire packet.

Installation

Our crew installs the racking, panels, the integrated Tesla solar inverter, your Tesla Powerwall 3 battery, and wiring. Most installations are completed in a single day. Larger jobs spill into a second.

A city inspector verifies the work. Once they sign off, SCE sends their inspector to verify the interconnection. We schedule both appointments and meet the inspectors on your behalf — you don't need to take time off work.

Permission to Operate

SCE issues Permission to Operate. The system flips on. Your meter starts running backward whenever you produce more than you consume, and your Powerwall begins charging from solar overflow. You'll get an email from us — and your first day of solar production lands on the Tesla app, with both production and battery state visible in one place, within 24 hours.
